Sri Sundararaja Perumal Temple, popularly known as Klang Perumal Temple, is one of the oldest Hindu temples in Malaysia, established in 1892. It is dedicated to Lord Vishnu, known here as Sri Sundararaja Perumal. The temple was initially a small shrine but gradually expanded to become the largest Vaishnavite temple in Malaysia.
This temple is often referred to as the "Thirupathi of South East Asia", drawing inspiration from the famous Sri Venkateswara Temple in Tirupati, India. It is believed that devotees who are unable to visit Tirupati can receive similar blessings here.
Over the years, the temple has undergone multiple renovations to enhance its structure and accommodate more devotees. The most recent major renovation took place in 2015, making it a fully granite-built temple, the first of its kind in Malaysia.
